Fly Hook Specifications: Every Firehole Hook Measured

Every Firehole Sticks model, measured. Twenty-eight hooks, every size we sell, with wire diameter, overall length and gap in millimeters. Use the summary to narrow the line down, then the measurements to compare hooks size for size.

Looking for the hook you already tie on? The Hook Finder matches Firehole models to Mustad, TMC, Ahrex, Hanák and Fulling Mill.

About wire labels. Heavy, medium and light describe each model across its whole size range. At the small end the wire is so fine that the labels stop separating models. At #16 the heavy 516 and 551 and the medium 609 and 612 all measure 0.50 to 0.51 mm, and at #18 all four measure 0.45 to 0.46 mm. When the difference matters to your fly, go by the measured column.
